What AI can—and cannot—do

Experience the ClearMission approach: practical instruction, a workplace activity, and a knowledge check that keeps human judgment in command.

Step 1 of 4

01 · Understand

Generative AI is a capable assistant—not an authority.

Generative AI predicts useful responses from patterns in data. It can accelerate work, but it does not understand truth, intent, or consequences the way a person does.

Use AI to transform information

AI is strongest at summarizing, organizing, drafting, comparing, brainstorming, and adapting material for a new audience. Give it a defined task and enough context to produce a useful first draft.

Keep judgment in command

AI can produce confident mistakes, miss recent changes, and reflect weak assumptions in the prompt. A person remains responsible for checking facts, applying policy, and approving important decisions.
